Trouble shooting - Application sharing problems
The application sharing option is one of the most powerful features in Visual Nexus. However occasionally someone says they can't see the application being shared. The most common causes are summarized below with ways to over come the problem.
The person who can't see the application is using full screen video?
This is the most common cause for one of the meeting participants saying they can't see the application being shared. When they are using the full screen for the video images it hides the applications behind the video image. The solution is to return the video to a normal window. Alternatively if you have dual monitors you can have the video on one screen and the application on the other.
The port used for application sharing is blocked by a firewall
Application sharing uses a special network port (port 8079). It is possible that your firewall blocks this port. Please check with you network administrator to see if this is the case.
