Learn to use Visual Nexus Version 4

Setting up the video on your Visual Nexus software

The video capabilities of Visual Nexus are among the very best available on a desktop video system.  You can get excellent video images from even quite basic web cams and the video images from top end cameras can be as good as those on expensive video room systems.  Check out the media kit data sheet available to download here which lists some recommended devices.

Your video system is usually easier to set up than then the audio system.  When you first ran Visual Nexus it should have benchmarked the system and set the types of video that your computer can support.  If you change the camera or have any problems with the video it may be worth re-running the video set up

The video set up wizard

You can start the video set up wizard from Meeting Manager by selecting [Tools] [Configurations] [Endpoint Configuration…].  This will launch the Endpoint Configuration Option Window.  Select the Camera from the list of option.

From the wizard you can click on [Benchmark] to re-run the benchmarks, or [Reinitialize] to reset the camera.

If you are in the USA then you may have an NTSC camera and should select the NTSC box.  This should be unchecked in Europe.

Clicking on the [Advanced] button will access the settings that are in the camera driver enabling you to make changes to the frame rate etc.

Once you are satisified with the settings click OK to complete the set up process.
