Learn to use Visual Nexus Version 4

Setting up your Visual Nexus software

Using multiple profiles for accessing different Visual Nexus systems

In this section of the Learn how to use Visual Nexus guide, you will learn about using different user profiles so that you can access different Visual Nexus systems or log in as a different user to the same system.  You may also have a different profile for logging into the system at home to that used while in the office.

The Visual Nexus User Profile

The Visual Nexus user profile tells the software who you are and which service you are connecting to.  To learn the basics of setting up your profile click here

You can set up different profiles on your computer.  For example if you are a member of the sales organization and also a member of the executive team you may have two different user accounts.  You may also need to access two different Visual Nexus services if you are a consultant working for different clients.

Setting up an additional user profile

To set up an additional user profile you must first start the Visual Nexus Meeting Manager and make sure that you are not logged in.  If your software automatically logs in when you start, you will need to log out before you can set up the additional profile.  You can do this by clicking <Program> and then <Logout> in the Meeting Manager.

Now right click on the Profile Icon and select Add. A new profile information window will appear and you should fill in the data with your user credentials and the meeting server address.  Be sure to use a different profile name and to enter you password twice.  Once you have entered all of the required information you can save the new profile.  You can now logi in using either the new profile of your original profile.  There is no limit to the number of different profiles you can set up on your computer.
