Sharing applications while in a call

You can use Application sharing to collaborate using a Windows application while in a person-to-person call or in a virtual Meeting room. In addition to sharing applications you can also use this feature to share files.

Click the [Application Sharing] button to open the Application Sharing tool bar

The buttons on the bar have the following functions

openappTo start sharing an application check that the application is running on your computer.  Then Click  [Select the application] on the application sharing tool bar to open [Select Application] dialog.

Select the application you wish to share from the list, and click the [Share] button. The shared application is visible on the screens of all the Meeting participants who will be able to see all activity in the application. If you started application sharing before you started the application you want to share, simply start the application and then click [Refresh].

You can share multiple applications and all participants in a meeting can share applications at the same time. Shared applications can be displayed in two modes on the remote PC’s screen, window mode and full screen mode. In window mode the application is displayed in a window that identifies the owner of the application.  The remote user can move and resize the window on their desktop.  In full screen mode the application appears as if it is running on the desktop of the remote user’s PC but may only be moved by the person sharing the application. The shared application will be displayed in window mode by default. and the display mode using the [Change display mode] button.

You can allow a remote user to control the application by clicking the allow remote user button.  Clicking this button again cancels this permission.  If you want to control the remote application you can click on request control button and the owner of the application will receive a request for you to be allowed to control the application.  They may answer either yes or no to this request.
